Testimonials

  • What areas do you cover

We cover all of  Galashiels and its surrounds

Galashiels, which is located in the narrow valley at the Gala Water is one of Scotland's most beloved towns. It is home to approximately 12,600 people. The stunning backdrop of rolling hills and its proximity to the River Tweed makes it a popular spot for tourists.

The town is well-known for its textile industry, which was established in 19th century. The establishment of many mills led to a rise in the population. Galasheils was chosen as the site of Heriot-Watt University’s School of Textiles and Design due to its heritage.

Robert Burns, a poet, wrote the poems "Sae Fair Her Hair", and "Braw Lads," which are sung at Braw Lads Gathering. Abbotsford House, which was the home of Sir Walter Scott, is located close by.

Two foxes reach for plums from a plum trees to make the town's coat of arms. This symbol is believed to be a reference to an incident that occurred in 1337 when English soldiers were picking wild plums from the area. The Scots then executed them all.
